” DIGITAL UTTAR PRADESH CONCLAVE 2024 ” , EVENT OVERVIEW

The Conclave included speeches , presentations and Panel discussions by and amongst IAS officers ( including several ones from other States ) , State Government Ministers , designated Government advisers , in addition to leading Corporate professionals from various sectors and officials from several government Educational institutions.

In the Event , both Private and Public sector representatives , gave deeply informative and insightful speeches that at-length talked about the various policy interventions that have either been undertaken or are under the pipeline such as the establishment of UP AI Vision Committee , the placing of Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) in various govt departments , the allotting of tax exemptions and several other grants and privileges for the setting up of industries in the State, just to name a few , so that the improved and enhanced physical infrastructure as well as digital infrastructure can offer greater online and offline connectivity in the State . The above-mentioned policy implementations would empower not only the State’s citizens , but also it’s current and prospective investors , by making available for all of them a seamless , secure and hassle-free system .

There was also a plethora of Start-up and Corporate presentations, that briefed about the multiple game-changing ways through which these entities have brought pronounced and visible changes for the better , with regards to people’s day to day life and work .The company-executives also stressed on how AI and other emergent-technologies should be viewed by all ( as facilitators of new and unexplored opportunities ) , rather than as system-disruptors and job-snatchers . Lastly , they also iterated the importance of UP’s rise , within the context of the country’s larger growth picture , and lauded the State govt for working in synergistic tandem with the Business sector.

There were a total of 4 Panel Discussions in the Event which deliberated-in-depth on issues such as e-Governance , the impact of AI and other emergent-technologies , Cybersecurity concerns and addressals , and on the strategies that need to be deployed for building a sustainable ecosystem in the State.

Some key Highlights from the event –

1. Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak ,highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s success in leading the country in UPI adoption and the endless possibilities that it has opened up for the State’s people .
2. Honourable Minister for IT and Electronics Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma , emphasized the importance of IT and electronics innovation in achieving UP’s goal of becoming a one-Trillion dollar economy .
3. The conclave brought together over many delegates from government departments, PSUs, emerging technology and IT companies, academia, and relevant institutions .
4. Industry leaders and government officials shared their insights and strategies on the latest trends and innovations in IT-ITeS , electronics manufacturing , e-governance , and AI .

The Digital Uttar Pradesh Conclave 2024 was a significant step towards unlocking the unlimited potential of e-governance and technology transformation that exists in Uttar Pradesh, through the fostering of a collaborative environment for digital evolution , in addition to ensuring of transparency and accountability in administration .
